On the Spot
Hobbies: Watching TV, especially the Cartoon Network and Tom & Jerry; I also like to play video games.
Favourite Movie(s): Die Hard With a Vengeance.
Favourite Movie Star(s): Bruce Willis and Jet Lee.
Favourite Music: R&B and Reggae, but I’m willing to listen to anything.
Favourite Food: Ackee and Saltfish.
Favourite Drink: Lemonade.
Favourite Holiday Destination: Australia, though no city in particular.
Favourite Ground: Sabina Park, because it’s home; overseas I like Newlands in Cape Town – it’s beautiful there.
Least Favourite Ground: None, I like to play cricket anywhere.
Most Memorable Match: It has to be the game I scored my triple century against South Africa. It was very special getting a triple for the first time. When you see all the great players that have done that, it’s very pleasing. It was a big achievement.
Match You Most Want to Forget: The Test against England in Jamaica when we were bowled out for just 47 and Steve Harmison took 7 for 12. It was really disappointing.
Your Cricket Heroes: Mainly Brian Lara – it’s nice to watch him bat and I feel privileged to play in the same team as him.
Greatest influence: My family.
Toughest Opponent: None of them. I take each team as they come and I always back myself.
Best Friend(s) in Cricket: Wavell Hinds and Marlon Samuels.
Funniest Man in Cricket: Me. I’m the comedian in the West Indies dressing room. I don’t know about the other teams, though.
Funniest Man in the World: Chris Tucker or Martin Lawrence
Most Embarrassing Moment: When I scored three consecutive ducks in Sri Lanka. Two of them were first-ball.
If you weren’t a cricketer…: I’d be working at the Jamaican Port Authority, where a few of my friends work.
